About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Pacific Heights in San Francisco. I help purpose driven individuals and couples by providing long and short-term therapy. I was born and raised in Sweden by parents in the mental health profession. Following in their footsteps I completed a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from California State University East Bay. I have for the last 24 years been teaching yoga classes and mindfulness meditation workshops throughout the Bay Area.
My approach is empathetic and engaging and it’s important to me to be able to provide a nurturing environment where clients can explore their past, present and future. I am down-to-earth, warm and friendly and my goal is to help clients discover a deeper understanding of themselves and others. My work is eclectic and is primarily informed by; Psycho-dynamics, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.

My specialties include working with anxiety, eating disorders, parenting issues, life transitions, and relationship issues such as improving communication, and healing betrayal and infidelity. I am very interested in finding out how a difficult past might be influencing a client’s current situation in order to craft a healthy future. I work hard to help identify meaningful and realistic goals for clients and I find deep satisfaction when they are actualized.
